My guinea pig, Private Rodent has developed a lump on his ear, it looks very similar to the lump that my cat Homer had on his leg which turned out to be TB so I am a bit worried. I have an appointment at the Vet at 11.20.

Anybody any experience of this or suggestions?

Thanks

How did the vet visit go?

Lumps could be cysts or abscesses. A lump on the ear I'd think most likely to be a cyst, unless Private Rodent was bitten on the ear by a cagemate (in which case an abscess could have developed).

What a relief for you. One of my piggies had a large lump on her back and I *** worried sick it would be something sinister. It turned out to be a boil which the vet drained.
