Isn't 3 weeks too early to split babies up from mum? ?

I always leave mine until 5 weeks plus not too sure how they would go gorging themselves on grass could develope bloat and maybe their immunity to grass borne bugs might be an issue, I only ever put hardy piggys out not the very young very pregnant or sick

I leave mine for at least 4-5 weeks,3 weeks is way too young :-\ :o

3weeks is abit young yes, but some males could/can inpreginate their mum.

I had to separate Padme's boys from her at 3 weeks because they were starting to get Rovy, as well as mum starting to get nasty with them. They can cope food wise I think, especially if they have each other )

I think 3 weeks is a bit early :-\
If the boys get a bit to excited with the girl or someone start getting mean to the others then you need to seperate them but id say leave it at least 4 weeks unless you need to seperate :)

A little too early, if you have to separate i'd still keep them indoors, they're still so young and wont know what to do if anything happens they may get scared easily.

No I'm asking when is it ok to put them out in the run with the others?

and i will be taking any boys out at 3 weeks old as i dont wont no one geting pregant and anyways i took aflie out at 3 weeks and he has been fine he had stop having milk by than anywheres and he is bigger than his sisters who are still with there mum and he is 9 weeks old now

i jsut wont to when will it be safe to put them in runs with the other guinea pigs

most of my males come out at 4 weeks
but one randy had to come out today, he,s 3 weeks old
i usually let mine go outside on the grass at 2 weeks

i Have had to seperate Boo (male) from his mum at two weeks, ( i was told to do so by fellow members of the forum)

i dont wont to know about speaating them i wont to when is it safe to put them in the run in the gardan on the gress

Mine are nearly 2 months but I'm not putting them out yet, they're still so fast and scatty that I'm terrified of them escaping when I catch them to go back home. Going to wait until they're a bit calmer.

Pop's 3 months now & I still can't put him in the run without him getting half way out;
depends on how skittish and fast they are, 'nd how the bars are spaced
Put the run inside and see how they are in it first

in the wild they're born onto grass I suppose, but ask your vet anyway just to be sure
or try googling

Well when i put my 9 weeks old out there are fine there just sit and eat grass with the others and there love there anuits holly and meggie too there are very finradly
