PigglePuggle
Senior Guinea Pig
We've had Theo for 3 days now and he's lovely and friendly and eats really well (no more plastic chewing allowed, he has hay and a haycube and he eats little bits of broccoli and spinach and coriander and parsley and carrots and apples and red peppers and cucumber and babycorn and clover and dried dandelion nibbles... he's a good eater and I'm probably over feeding him because he's so loveable and on his own). But he can clearly smell there are other piggies around, and in the playpen he's been sitting in the corner nearest the door to the girls room sniffing the air and wheeking longingly... the girls are also in the corner of their cage nearest the door standing on their hind legs like squirrels sniffing the air.
2 weeks is so long! I know its sensible but its a long time. Theo has his vet check tomorrow, would it be really irresponsible to put his cage at the opposite side of the same room after that? He's currently sleeping upstairs in the spare bedroom and that's ok but when he comes down for playpen time after the girls are in bed they can smell each other and I feel so cruel seeing as Theo has been starved of company for so long! Or should I just tough out the 2 weeks in separate rooms and not be so sentimental?
