My vet is wondering if one of my guineapig has diabetes..She drinks alot...Last time she was at the vets she had bleeding when she peed..They did a pee test and it was high in Glucose...they said it could be the blatter invection that could be the cause..I have to go back and get her levels retest in a few day..My question if it does come out that she does have diabetes what will have to do? Shot? meds?

You need both a urine and a blood test...... the reason i know this as one of my girls, Velvet, is a diabetic. Velvet doesn't have meds, i control her glucose levels as best as i can with a strict diet, no carrots or fruits, she has loads of hay.
If you go thru the food list on here you'll see the ones that are more suitable. Also i read up a lot on human diabetes as well as any cases reported in guinea pigs.
Excessive drinking wasn't what Velvet had, whee didn't realise till she had cataracts and lost her sight :(
Best of luck, let me know how the tests go XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
