Hey everyone, Callie has been doing well. She's gaining weight(which I'm so happy to see.) But, I picked her up today and she sounds like she has a stuffy nose. It sounds like she's making a 'popping' sound. Everything else is good. Her eyes and nose are clear. She's got a dry chin. She eating, squeaking, drinking, etc.
I do have a vet tech coming over tomorrow to give her her hormonal injection and I will have her checking Callie out but do you guys think this serious and I should make a vet appointment anyways?

It's a little while later and she's still sounds stuffed. Not as bad as before but it's still definitely there. As soon as they open tomorrow I'll be calling my vet. Wish us luck please

She's now starting to close her eyes. It's like she doesn't want to but can't help it, I'm not sure why though. It's mostly her eye that she has her cataracts(sorry if I spelt that wrong)

See a vet if it doesn't pass by tomorrow morning or as an emergency if there is a quick deterioration. It sounds like a bit of a blocked nose - that can make all kinds of strange sounds.

Hold your ear to the chest, the throat area and to the nose in turn. If the lungs and the airways in the throat are free, I would not worry much.

URI is usually a crackling/wheezing noise in the throat or lung area; that is when you need to see a vet promptly.

I woke up this morning and her breathing sounds a lot better. Like I said I'll have the women who gives Callie her injection check it out today just to be sure

Louise checked her out and said Callie sounded fine. Of course I'm going to keep a close eye on her for the rest of the day. If anything else seems even a little off she is off to the vet though.

It is most likely just a bit of dust or hay pollen stuck in the nose. ;)
