Is this something to be concerned about? I just bought my newest guinea pig, Salsa, from the petstore. She's eating perfectly find and drinking a lot too. She's really active and doesn't seem sick. She is also a young one. There's no blood in the urine and I see this every 12 hours or so.

It won't let me post the picture, any advice on how to get the picture to show up? I tried inserting a picture through the insert image button but it won't let me choose to upload anything.

Hello,

Is it coming out when she is weeing or pooing or both?

I would suggest putting her in a clean washing up bowl and seeing what it looks like when it comes out... Does it turn this colour afterwards etc...

It comes out while she is doing both. & it seems to change color once she's done?

Okay, is it coming out clear and changing colour on standing after what length of time?

It looks brown to me, but that could be the photo... What colour would you say it is?

Clear-Cloudy wee is normal.

What colour does it turn? Any orange, rusty tinge or is it brown?

Personally, I think it's because the poop is wet :) I have poo inspections (piggy ones I hasten to add) and rule out what they've eaten within 12-24 hours as being the culprit i.e. beetroot/carrots etc. can make urine darker.
Is piggy crying/squeaking/hunching up ?

It's like a tan color. It's too light to be a brown and it's not red, so no blood.

The photo made it look brown so I just wanted to know how it actually looks. I take it it smells like wee also

As long as it is wee and not a discharge then it is probably the Urine, it sometimes changes after a few minutes to an orange/rust color on standing - this may be down to the oxidation of porphyrins in the urine which come from some food, if so it is nothing to worry about. We panicked when we first saw it, it doesn't happen to all piggies wee.

I would suggest if you are concerned taking a sample down to the vets and they can just test it.
