Hi all,

I have just ordered this hutch as hoping to adopt 2 gp’s in the next month or so:
The Malling 5ft modular Single Deluxe -
I have ordered it with a nest box in the sleeping area rather than having a partition between the sleeping and living area but now I am having doubts...which would be best for them - the nest box or partition?
Have attached a photo of the nest box.
Many thanks

I would have probably done a partition but you will need two hides in that area. They won’t (necessarily) sleep together

It’s a lovely nest box and keeping the nest box warm will be easier than keeping the entire partition warm. Stuff it full of hay, pop a snugglesafe heat pad in and it will be lovely to snuggle into.
But, you will need one hide per piggy and each hide ideally needs to have two exits so no piggy can get cornered. The nest box only has one exit, but perhaps you could cut another hole in it?

I’m searching for a good cage and a ryedale is currently a tad out of my price range and there’s mixed views on the chartwell so just wondering how this hutch is holding up so far? Thanks!
