Hello,
A few days ago I upgraded my guinea pig cage to a much bigger one. I’ve noticed that since this change the bedding becomes smelly very fast, but I simply can’t change it every two days.
My problem is my cage is in my bedroom. I can no longer keep my door open because our new cat comes into my room and destroys all of my belongings. Because of this and the large cage my room smells like guinea pig pee. I was wondering if this is toxic to me? Will breathing this in while we figure out a solution cause my health damage? Or will I be okay?

NOTE: this is probably in the wrong thread but I’m unsure of where I would post this.

I really doubt that it's bad for your health. If you change the bedding pretty regularly, it really shouldn't be a problem. You can also get an air purifier to lessen the smell. I have a plug-in one that was only about $30.

Hi!

The pee is not toxic.

What bedding is your piggy on and how do your provide the hay? We can only help you better if we know what you are currently using (including underlay in fleece bedding and hay trays).

What is your diet and how often are you cleaning your cage?
