Does this have to be recent passings? If not, Harley died in my hands April this year, it was awful, we willed her to live but it wasnt meant to be, I tried everything to make her comfy (she had had a stroke) I made her a makeshift incubator and fed her by hand, she seemed stronger and started flapping and tweeting to me so i took her out the incubator and carried on feeding her in my hand but she gave one last tweet then passed.

here she is minutes before.

I know exactly what you've been through - we did exactly the same with our budgie, Beaky (I had him for my 10th birthday hence the choice of name I suppose ;D) He had a stroke and we took him out of his cage and had him on towels on the floor feeding him by hand, he died when I was 21 btw :'( I had him for a long time.... :'(
 
I'm so sorry to read that, had to laugh at the comment about the name you chose, I let my children choose names for all my chicks, so we have some strange ones (shrek and Donkey to mention a few), When we lost her my sister said i cant understand why you got so upset it was only a budgie :tickedoff: :tickedoff: i siad you dont understand how mcuh they all mean.

I lot my budgie, Buster last year too... his name was Buster and we put him outside for the day as usual and later went o check on him and he was on his side flapping around in the bottom of the cage :( he dies 1 day later during the night :'(
I had only had him for 2 months :'(

RIP Buster, Beaky and Harley :'(

So sorry it must have been heartbreaking for you :'(

I understand about my dad and oldest sister say the same about Sally when she passed. Some people only think big dogs and cats are wort being upset over, my sister for one. It doesn't matter how big or small they are or how long or short there life span is they all have a special place in our heart and are special to us :smitten: :smitten:
 
So sorry to hear of your loss, it doesn't matter when it was . . .
