Hi guys! I reacently got a rabbit. He is a baby netherland dwarf who is very docile and small. I just want to know the risks of housing rabbits in the same room as guinea pigs. Thank you!

As long as they don't come in contanct with eath I think it should be fine?

Alright, thank you! I know someone whos rabbit hand URI and their cavies contracted it since it's extremely contagious. It wiped out their whole herd, so I just want to be a little extra cautious.

Touching your rabbit you should wash your hands before touching your Guinea pigs! Only clean habits.

If you look a the Youtuber skinny pigs 1 she has her rabbit in the same room s her pigs the same as Budget Bunny. So I'd say that as long as they can't come into contact and the rabbit can't kick at the walls of the cage it should be fine.

Please remember that rabbits need other rabbits, just like guine pigs need other guinea pigs.
I don't have room for another rabbit. A lot of people I know have rabbits by themselves and they're just fine, especially because they are free roam. He is free roam in my room, has stairs to my bed so he can come see me, and I give him attention and play with him when ever I can.

Hi. Rabbits are miserable without a friend. Just because lots of people do it, it doesn't make it right. When you are out it will be lonely. To see two bonded rabbits together is a joy. If he has free range of your room then you have room for two rabbits.
We only rehome rabbits to live alone if they are difficult to bond. As a young rabbit he should be easy to bond. Get him neutered and that will prevent humping and spraying of urine. Then contact a local rabbit rescue for advice on finding him a lovely lady friend. You won't regret it.
Remember house rabbits still need immunising against myxomatosis and VHD 1 &2 as infection can be carried in on clothing or by insects.
I love nethies they are gorgeous. Here is my bunny Bourbon who has two lady friends20180106_174359.webp
