On a trip to Pets at Home in May 2007 I was given a very special gift! I called him Ralfie and he was such a gorgeous and loving boy.
Soon after coming to live with me I got him a lovely little friend, Berby, as you can see from the link above, and then a couple of weeks later Joe also joined them, after losing his daddy, who he had lived with. I couldn't believe that I had got a group of three boys living together so happily. When Joe went to Rainbow Bridge earlier this year, Ralfie and Berby became even closer. They were my cuddly boys and would always sleep curled up around one another.
Sadly last Tuesday, after a very short illness, Ralfie went to join Joe, leaving Berby absolutely devestated! He sat hunched up in the corner of the cage not eating, and I was so worried I would lose him too. I thought about getting him neutered and putting him with the girls, but I decided to see if I could once again make a happy group of three boys. I put him in with Pixie and Dixie and they all got on straight away! I was so worried when I went to bed that night, in case things kicked off in the night. As soon as it got light next morning I dashed out to my piggy shed to check if all was ok, and there was Berby curled around Dixie! He loves his new friends!
Sleep well Ralfie boy! Reunted with Joe, Schmichael and the special friend you lived with at Pets at Home!
You were so loved, and we all miss you!
