recommended for neutering?

Can anybody here recommend a good vets to have piggies neutered? I know some rescues get all there males neutered do wanted to know who you use and also the price. I'm in Bromsgrove near Birmingham so as close as possible to there (however will travel a short while).

Sorry, I can't recommend any vets near you as I live in Bristol. I could certainly recommend my vet though ... they are great!

Why don't you phone around your local vets and ask them how many guinea pigs they neuter per year and their survival ratio. Also what pre and post operative care they give and what the price is.

I have had four boars neutered over the years, all at the same vet. They do a pre-op check i.e. weight, heart rate, checking his "bits" and temperature. The operation and then a post-op check two days after and then ten days after, all included in the price. Not cheap though ... I just paid £57 for Junior's op.
 
Hopperhaven in Redditch neuter all their boars and use a vet in that area which is not that far from you, give Louise a ring I am sure she can recommend one.
