My two skinny girls have very red skin on the bottom of their feet and heels. Looks very sore but they walk normally. They are on fleece blanket bedding and changed every other day. They have a litter box and it has something like care fresh bedding in it but a little rougher. Just wondering if this could be serious.
Thanks

All I can think of is bumblefoot, an allergy to the bedding or ammonia burns. Since they walk normally and are on fleece **** not bumblefoot, but since skinnies have quite sensitive skin it's possible it's an allergy. Since your bedding is changed so often its unlikely its ammonia burns. Err that wasn't very helpful, but someone more knowing should come along soon! :)

Do thy look sore? One of our pigs has pink feet and (like her ears) they do sometimes look very red when she is warm or excited.
Do a google search for guinea lynx and look up feet. Great pics on there.

Are they irritated, or are their feet just flushed? My pigs with pink feet tend to get red feet and ears if they are hot or really active. They are a paler pink if they are cool or at rest. I do know when my light-coloured pig gets running the bottom of her feet look quite red but it's just the blood coming to the surface!
