Today I noticed that Wiley has a lump at the base of her eye under her lower eye lid it is red/inflamed but is pretty small! She seems totally fine and unfazed it does not look like it's her eye affected just inside of lower eye lid.most noticeable when she tilts her head to drink.

She is eating and drinking as normal.

Not sure what to do as vet is closed til Friday and of course I picked up my new girl today! I do have them in separate cages for now and they have not been introduced.

Any advice?

@WhinnyPig It looks like Pea Eye (Fatty Eye) to me, which is a protrusion of the conjunctival sac. I had a pig with it. It's worth getting it checked by the vet to see if it is infected but most pigs can live happily and pain free with it. It is possible to have it removed by laser but I didn't bother with my boy.

Probably a hay poke or she scratched her eyelid? If the vet is closed you could maybe use your regular sterile ointment or eye drops, that may help to clear out any infection.

Have a look at the guinea lynx page for eyes as it has some photos too Guinea Lynx :: Eyes

I would say either pea eye for inflamed conjunctiva so best book a vets appointment to double check

Update!

Wiley went to a new vet today they were not able to give a diagnosis but have started her on antibiotics thinking there may be a slight infection. She is on ofloxacin solution and so far has been good about it! We revisit in a week to see how she is doing.

They were so nice to her there and the vet tech cuddled her and held her awhile. She used to have piggies and thinks Wiley may be a Silkie mix. They said she was looking well for 5.5!
