Hi community.
Scarlet, one of our two skinny pigs (both 3 years old) has been flapping and scratching its ears for quite some time, and we never found the cause. About a week ago, we found that one ear had some whitish substance inside it. After removing it, we noticed a red spot at the entry of the ear canal, which looks like some swelling. See picture. We try to remove as much of the whitish substance on a daily basis, as it is coming back. We did a 7-day cycle of clotrimazol 1%, which does not seem to have yielded any improvement. Scarlet does not have any head tilt. The other ear is clean. The other pig does not show any of these symptoms.
Any idea what could be causing this, and recommended treatment?

I’m sorry to hear this.

Please do have this seen by a vet.
I'm afraid we cannot tell you what it is (legally only a vet can upon hands on examination) nor what the treatment would be

I hope your piggy is ok
