I am still feeling poorly, still ill with the flu. I was too sick on my birthday to share an apple pie and ice cream, so since I am better today I had a visitor over for the birthday dessert, and we are watching football (American, of course) on television and eating popcorn, too. My visitor is curious about Redemption, so I got out a towel and a guinea pig and let him hold Red while Red roamed around a bit and cuddled. I have a headache, so I've put Red back in his cage, and for your viewing pleasure I'm putting up only one of the photos right now, but I think it is so cute. (Also while I am doing this my friend is watching football AND reading an informative guinea pig magazine. He really likes Red.)

Philadelphia
Eagles vs Atlanta Falcons. At this posting the score is Eagles 24, Falcons 21, 3rd quarter.

I haven't weighed Red this week, but I do believe he is over 2 pounds now, and he does not appear to be obese. He is just getting bigger and longer and chunkier. Maybe it is genetics and he is programmed to be a big pig, but maybe also it is because I have taken care to feed him so well? I've had him 84 days today, and I'm sure you remember how small he was when he came to me. That's not quite 3 months I've had him, and he has grown so much. I am so glad. You all have shown me how to bring him up right.

Aww. He's soon going to have a new slave before you know it. :))

Hope you get over the flu soon! I dread getting the flu.

Half of me is from TN, my mother's half. I have lots and lots of family there, in the Appalachian mountains. I think I'm the only one who ever had a guinea pig, though.

OH - Red nipped my friend in the thumbnail, didn't hurt but it could have. I told him that it might be the piggie's way of saying he had to wee, so I picked Red up and put him in the carrying box with the newspapers, and sure enough he made a puddle in there. Isn't that so smart of Red? Great little guinea pig he is.

Awww, cute photo. So sorry you're still feeling rough, feel better soon. (((((hugs))))
Piggies are very clever about letting us know when they need a wee aren't they? And considerate! :))

I always love to hear about Red. He is so gorgeous. He is so clever to let you know when he needs to wee too. :)
