I awoke at 1 a.m. and could not get back to sleep, so I took some photos of Red. I tried to entice him with a bean leaf, but he mostly wanted to stay in the corner of the chair and chatter at me. I did get two shots of him taking the leaf, they're at the end. He has at least two different kinds of hair. It is all soft and fluffy, but the white hair grows really wispy and a lot longer than the brown hair. Two days ago I trimmed all the white hair so that he wouldn't look so much like a startled piggy.

all gorgeous but this one looks like a disgrunteled pig woken up at 1am for a photo shoot. mwahahahah!

Akchually, he was up and eating! I don't think he sleeps, he eats. Really, do you think he looks like a guinea pig? He doesn't look like all the others to me. He looks more like a "tribble". Maybe it is the "sideburns" that make his head look big.
 
He certainly looks unique!

So he has the midnight munchies... naughty naughty! then again, I wouldn't want to be interrupted during supper... ;) bless him... he is so cute with his funky hair and colouring...

Your *ahem* "Hampster" is soooo cute! I love little Red to death! So glad he has you to spoil him rotten :)

I sometimes can't sleep and often hear the guineas, I think they sleep in the day when I'm at work. I do believe Porridge is trying to see whether he can spontaneously combust through over consumption!

I think maybe Red belongs to the same club. After all (you might not know, so I'll say it again here) he has gained nearly 1.5 pounds in the past 66 days; that's how long I've had him since I got him at a yard sale, and that's assuming he weighed as much as 8 ounces when I rescued him. I expect to see him catch fire any day now.
