Hi as many of you know about my poor girl tiger am after some advice i have two lots of bonded sows would it be possible to bond her with two of these as they all live in nero three size cages and live quite happily tigers cage is the same length as a nero three but a bit wider i could probably join two cages together but last time i tried this with my four sows they just stayed in a cage each and just ignored the other pair thanks

I'm not sure because I have heard that trying to add another pig to an already bonded pair could upset the balance and make the already bonded pair fall out. Somebody else can probably advise better. If this does fail, could you not rescue another sow and but the rescued sow in with Tiger?

In the meantime would it be ok for tiger to have floortime with the others?

Yes she can definitely have floor time with them. If they get on then I can't see why they wouldn't leave together. I have 3 girls together and got them at separate times. You just need to make sure you introduce them on neutral ground (during floor time for example). you should be able to tell straight away if they will get on or not.
You will need to join the cages though or make sure they have enough space somehow as a nero 3 is definitely too small for 3.
Let us know how you get on.

Hi well introduced all five at floor time she doesnt run around as much as the others but they have all had a sniff etc no nastiness which is good debating whether to put all five together if i can somehow put two nero threes and a nero two together or to get another sow as hubby said i can that would make nine piggies then!:))

Hubby doesnt like them for some reason think its the space issue as have six indoor cages which we stack

I would try them altogether on neutral territory keeping a watchful eye on them. If all goes well, do it again and then again.

Tempt them with lots of nice vegs and fruit to distract them from each other.

From my experience, it just depends on personalities. If you have laid-back sows you are ok, but if you have one that is dominant, or one that gets frightened, then fall outs could occur.

Hope all goes well.

Well after last nights success with floor time things went bad when they where in the run today outside all five where munching happily on grass until marge decided to take out a chunk of chestnuts ear and bite her cage mates poppys lip so still have a depressed and now scared tiger .Seperated them all and putting the two sets of bonded sows back together with no probs but still a lonely tiger ahhhhhhhhhh
