This has been said before but I am going to reiterate it again...
NOBODY will be banned for joining another forum or for creating another forum.

Regarding yesterdays incident, members were banned temporarily as things were getting heated on the forum with untrue, unjustified personal attacks being made. I was out for the day so I was unable to sit on here and monitor what was being said. I was very hurt by the comments that were made cos like I have said, they were far far from the truth. Before deciding on a full ban, I spoke to the person in question and came to a decision to enforce a permanant ban.
So that you all know the TRUTH I will post exactly what happened so that you can see the comments made about me were completely unwarrented.
A couple of weeks a go, it was brought to my attention that the person in question had been advertising her new forum using the PM facility on here. I went onto MSN and spoke to the person and asked that they no longer did this - they understood what I was saying and agreed. Things were left amicably.
Last week, I posted on the new forum with a link to Guinea Pig Rehome ( I checked their Rules and Guidelines first out of respect ) as I feel that it is important that this link is displayed in as many places as possible as potential owners may find a rescue guinea pig to rehome there. The link stayed there for quite a few days so I left it at that. A couple of days a go, I went onto the other forum and found that the post was no longer there and the rules had been changed to that they would not allow links that would have a detrimental effect on their forum - I was horrified. Guinea Pig Rehome should be of no threat to anybody however it has a link to here on there so that is why I thought it was taken off. I posted in the question board asking why it had been removed and that I was disgusted that the biggest rehoming website on the internet had been taken off. No other links had been removed so it was clearly aimed at me and for them to change their rules as they removed it made be believe that they took it off because of the link on GPR to my website - in other words, create a website for all the wrong reasons just to gain as many members and not for the care/welfare of a guinea pig. I was so disgusted that I posted on this forum expressing my concern - no names were ever mentioned.
I finished uni at 12pm yesterday so when I got back at 1pm, I saw a post made by the person in question saying I had bullied her and all sorts of other nasty comments. I had not even SPOKE to the person in question since the time I spoke to her about PMs. The other person who was banned had been telling the person in question how I had been arguing with her - again, I have never EVER spoke to the other person at all. I went on to MSN to ask the person why they would say such nasty things as I had not even spoke to her and it was wrong to say comments like that on a public board when I have done nothing wrong. I expressed to the other person that I had temporarily banned them as I was busy and was going out and that I would like to talk to them later about everything that had happened.
Later on, I spoke to the person again and when I asked how I had argued with someone I had never spoke to - no real answer could be given. I also asked how I bullied her when I had not even spoke to her for weeks - again, something else which no real answer could be given. I looked over again at the comments that had been made about me on a public forum and decided that it would be best to make it a permenant ban as I was disgusted with the nasty malicious comments made.
So nobody is banned straight away and for no reason either - I always try to resolve things when I can however on this occassion, it kept going round in circles resulting in nothing being resolved.
It is hard for me now as since September I have been doing a degree which means that I am unable to be on here as much as possible. I could have got rid of the forum as I haven't got much time anymore and it is quite costly however I knew that this place DOES benefit the members and so many friendships, rehomes and good advice has been given here. More moderators were put in place so that things could continue to run smoothly. I understand that as the forum continues to grow, there will be more arguments e.t.c. however we do try and stay on top of these. At the end of the day, this is a GUINEA PIG forum - not a place to argue and would like to think that the forum can go back to staying focussed on the guinea pigs and that we can begin to move forward together.
