Hi everyone

I have come to the very difficult decision to rehome my single boar Casper. This year has been hell to say the least losing three piggies since February and Also other things in my personal life which I won’t unload on anyone. It’s not fair to leave him on his own and I can tell he’s not been feeling his best I’ve been having to critical care him recently it’s as if one after the other of my piggies has issues. I just can’t cope anymore. I need help finding a home for him who is willing to take good care of him. can anyone help?

I’m so sorry to hear this and for your losses. It’s never an easy decision to make but it’s one made out of love.

The best thing is to speak to a rescue centre to see if they have space to take him.

Otherwise, there may be somebody on the forum who is looking for a boar, but you would need to add your location to the profile before anybody can help with that.

It’s been the worst year and I am not mentally well enough to look after him anymore. I know it’s the right decision even though it will destroy me but i an simply traumatised to put it bluntly with the past six months of nursing and losing piggies. Thank you for your kindness I’ve put my location now hopefully I can get help this is Casper by the way he’s a little dare devil so social and loving x

Oh he is absolutely beautiful! I hope you can find a really good forever home for him, what a dear little fella.
I would email all the recommended rescues, although they are really struggling as they are so busy, good luck x

Thank you so much. I’ve spoken with my vet as I said before he’s not been his best recently so I’ve been critical caring and medicating him under vet guidance hopefully he’s going to be okay. I can’t send him somewhere while he’s not perfect but I’m worried that it’s all because he’s on his own and that is a change I can’t do. He has a lump (and two smaller ones) which is connected his tubes leading to his genitals which we have been monitoring it has grown I hope it isn’t something sinister the vet hasn’t said so.

Sorry I missed this thread.
So sorry that you are having such a difficult time.
Holding you in my heart ♥️
