After much careful consideration, I've decided to rehome Little Dave 8...

The other two have been picking on him, and are becoming increasingly aggressive towards him.

They have been a stable group of 3 boars for the two years that I've had them, and prior to that too, but it seems that the house move has caused them to reorganise their hierarchy, and Little Dave is being bullied.

It's not all bad though - Little Dave has a great home lined up :)

He's going to live with my old flatmate, who has been my closest friend for 12 years. I also work with her, and she's 2 years off of becoming a fully qualified vet :)) He's going to have a great time living with her sows - every boars dream - much better than living with your dad and uncle! :))

I'm taking him to work with me on Saturday, so I can hand him over to her, so it'll be sad, but also good for Little Dave.

This is the (not quite so little) fella!

awww we wish him well x

He's now going tomorrow morning instead, as I have to stay at my mums over the weekend, and cannot take Little Dave with me because my dog "likes" small furries :x

So, he's going tomorrow, on my way to work, and I'm sure he'll be very happy!

It must have been a very heartbreaking decision for you, but it looks like you have a wonderful home and future lined up for your handsome boy!

Yeah - not easy, but definitely the right decision for him! We jointly got the pigs when we lived together anyway, so she knows everything about him that she needs to know etc. I just got custody of them when we moved :))

RE: Picture of the nibbled carrot
Couldn't believe how chewed it is; Red won't touch one. I guess they all have their likes and dislikes. Glad that Dave had a home all ready for him. Let's hope the ladies don't gang up on him, too.

aw. I am so sorry. At least he shall have a great home... with a vet! hehe. Wish him all the best
