The gentlest, handsomest, most lovable little darling I have known. My first guinea pig, who unlocked my heart and allowed me to love and learn about his species.

I miss you, my Charlie boy. A year has passed since you left us, and a lot has changed. You have been joined by two of your ladies, and our gentle giant of a dog, and there is much new life in the household.

Be happy, look after your girlies for me. Sending you the biggest hugs, snuggles and kisses.

What a handsome young man! No doubt he is loving the ladies over the bridge & helping the new arrivals there.

There is always something so special and amazing about the first piggy you ever get. x)x) They teach us so much & put very big paw prints on our hearts that leads us onto more & more piggies! But they are never forgotten.

What a magnificent gentleman Charlie looked. I bet my two passed sows will be fighting over Charlie at Rainbow Bridge.
 
A lovely thread and a lovely way to remember him - what a special pig.

First piggies always get such a chunk of your heart, and the others no matter how special can't fill it.

Thank you all for your replies. Charlie was truly my heart pig. He saved me from myself. I owe an awful lot to him for just how much he helped me and pulled me through.

I only slept for three hours the night we had to have him PTS. I never even thought it possible that, just one year later, he would have two of his ladies, Tuppence and Lottie, with him too. While I am sad for my losses, I am so happy for the three of them. Never have I known two pigs to be such soulmates as Charlie and Tuppy.

These little piggies are just too precious. They steal your heart, and however long you have with them is not long enough.
