My sweet little funny girl Chelsea passed away three years ago. We had a very special relationship because she was very sick when she was just a few months old. She was a fighter and for many weeks my life was more or less about keeping her alive or worrying about her. So she will always have a very special place in my heart.

Chelsea was born into a large group of females at a breeder who was a friend of mine. Or I should say that she started as a breeder, but she rescued a lot of guinea pigs over the years. After a very painful divorce her life changed completely and she had to give up the rescue work as well as breeding. But it takes a while to rehome so many animals.
Chelsea came to live with Nicky who had lost his wife and went through an unsuccessful bonding with one of my girls from my bigger group. So little Chelsea moved in and they had a great relationship. Nicky adored her and she loved Nicky (most of the times).

Chelsea was one of my guinea pigs who really seemed to have a sense of humour. She made me laugh a lot and she always seemed to laugh to herself at the same time.

Due to her medical problems as a youngster she kept a slight head tilt that showed more on some days and in some situations. That gave her a really cute look.
She also was the queen of the death nap.

After we lost Nicky to lymphoma at the end of octobre four years ago, she moved into Muffin's group. That worked out pretty smoothly and Chelsea seemed to adjust to life in a bigger group very well again. Maybe because she learned a lot about social skills in her birth group.
Unfortunately we lost her to a fast growing tumor in her abdomen just a few months later.

Chelsea, my little angel, you were one special lady and I will always remember you.
