Removal Of Incisors

So Brambles been doing really well post head tilt, shes eating well and pooping, gained 120g in the last 2 weeks. The only problem is with nerve damage, her incisors are not wearing down evenly and needing to be burred down every other week. Obviously shes awake for this and isnt keen.. the vet brought up the option of removing the incisors completely which was something I have been thinking about myself anyway. But I'm lookimg for information about caring for her after this has been done. Can she eat normally after? Will I have to chop up her veg much smaller? Will long strands of hay be an issue? Those sorts of things.

I have no problem carrying on the tooth burring if its the better option, for as many more years as she chooses to grace me with her company. But if this is a better option for her, I'm wanting to go in with better knowledge.

I recently had a temporary resident at TEAS, who came here so he could have his incisors removed by Simon Maddock at the Cat and Rabbit Clinic. It took him a couple of days post surgery to get to grips with eating, but was soon managing fine. Obviously they can't bite down on stuff, so grass needs to be picked for them, but they can manage hay and veggies need to be cut into thin strips. Has your vet performed this op before? It is important to use a vet who is experienced in this type of surgery.
 
She has apparently done it many times on rabbits and is confident in doing so, but shes going to research whats different with guinea pigs, if anything. We'll be going back in 2 weeks for another trim so i'll know more about it then, but she has been fabulous with everything else so far and adores Bramble so I'm confident that if she has any reservations, it wont go ahead.

No problem with cutting the veg, does that include hard veg like carrot, swede ect or should I just grate that? At the moment shes able to tear bits off thin pieces taken off by a peeler, will she still manage that?
