Reuben hasn’t been well ☹️

He recently lost weight and , to be quite frank with you, I wouldn’t have coped if I hadn’t had such amazing help and support from @eileen

He’s had a few visits to The Cat and Rabbit Clinic in Northampton. He’s had a front tooth removed and has been on Zirothomax to treat a dental abscess.

He’s still underweight ... but he’s eating herbs, grass and hay ... and he’s taking his top up feeds quite well.

But... he’d like to tell you he prefers hay to a syringe full of mushed up pellets 👍

Sorry about your dental/abscess problems!

Great to see him eat hay - that is the crucial step in the recovery.
 
Healing wheeks Reuben, handsome floofy boy! He looks to be doing a good job with that hay :)
 
Oh Reuben, you beauty, I’m sorry to hear you’ve had dental issues. Lisa, you are a fabulous piggy mum. And Reuben is in the best hands.
I also love that this forum has brought 2 members together to support each other through such a tough time x

However, I can’t take the credit .... It’s Eileen who has nursed him through the worst .

Vet bills are expensive .... but Eileen ‘s help and support has been priceless :hug:. I’m so grateful.

Quick update

There’s no disputing he’s a poorly boy ..... he’s on strong antibiotics to try to prevent the infection leading to osteomyelitis in his jaw .

It’s so heartwarming to see he can still enjoy grass ... and grass time with his girlies. ❤️

Such a handsome lad :wub: it's good that he's eating his grass, I hope you're being a good boy & gobbling down that yummy Zithromax too?
