RIP gentle Jessie

Gentle soul Jessie our lovely 5yr old guinea pig passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by her sisters. She'd been poorly for a few weeks, so had been getting all her favourite treats and extra cuddles since we were expecting she didn't have long left with us. Popcorn in peace beautiful gentle soul Jessie. You made quite an impact in our lives.

Thank you everyone, I'm touched by all your comments.
We went to our local garden center this afternoon and chose a lovely tall planter and some plants, and collected some extras from our garden, and decorated it with stones too. We wrapped Jessie in a lovely soft tea towel and gave her a bunch of all her favourite garden herbs and flowers and leaves. Her final resting place looks really pretty and is placed just outside the door to the room where our remaining girls live. I think the process has helped us all, and will bring us comfort.
