Adult Guinea Pig
My gorgeous boy went peacefully in my arms last night. 8...
His health was deteriorating fast so it was the kindest thing. The vet reassured me three times it really was the best decision. He wasn't THAT old, 9 years, but a tumour he had removed had returned and after he was sedated, the vet said he thinks it had spread to his chest because his breathing wasn't right and he said his heart had been moved to the other side of his chest. 8...
I know he had lost a lot of motivation in life and just looked so tired, but I am praying he wasn't in devastating pain. He still had a brilliant appetite and loved his cuddles, but we knew he couldn't carry on like he was. He had to go with the dignity and respect he deserves.
I am just so grateful to have had someone so wonderful in my life and I will never forget him, I have had his name tattooed on my wrist for the past 3 years, I thought at the time it would make me sad when he goes but it just reinforces just how important he is to me, and I find it comforting.
I should be getting his ashes back either Monday or Tuesday.
Goodbye little man, run free at The Bridge and let all that nasty illness be a distant memory. Mummy loves you. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
