Does anyone know of a rodentologist in south wales?

I have emailed and text vedra to ask but ive not had a reply yet.

Its not an emergency i just want to take my boys for a check up and was wondering if anyone knew of one.

:)

I hope that now that most people are back at work you will be able to get an answer soon!

There are a few members in Wales, fingers crossed one of them knows of a rodentologist there!

I am in bristol and vedra told me the closest was in reading...

I did see an old thread saying there was one in rhondda wales but no contact details. So i do hope its still there as it isnt far from me, otherwise its off to the vets, but i was told he was good with piggys and he has been recommended buy two members. :))

Just had a text back from Vedra she said there is no one qualified here yet as a rodentologist, my nearest is reading or worcester. :(

Off to the vets it is then, i just hope he knows what he is doing.

Worcester is only up the M50/M5, I don't think you need a passport!

The vet you are seeing is very good with pigs. The Rhondda ones are still there but only over the phone for an emergency if you need the number let me know.

Worcester is a bit far for a check up - I would be more than happy to head off there if I had a sick pig but for a check up it's a bit much.

Thanks Lisa for the reassurance about the vets. :))

It was just a check up i wanted AP so i wont be travelling up the M50/M5 for a check up but at least i know where they are if i have an emergency.

Just have to see if this snow comes and goes for me to book an appointment. :{

Hi there is Lance Jepson, he is an exotics specialist, he only runs exotic clinics for reptiles birds and rodents, he is fantastic at what he does.
He runs his exotics clinics in Carmarthen Vet centre, Fenton Vet Centre (h'west) and St James vet group in Neath

Thank you, i will keep them noted down for future reference. I'm going to try the one in Cardiff that has been praised so well. :)

are you on about the one in valley vets? if so iv heard good things also, i only know lance through working with him, and i think they kno each other anyway lol

No it's Bridges surgery (Mark)

Are Valley Vets supposed to be good with Guineas? That's interesting. Anyone in particular?

That's also about 5 mins from me. Nice to know I have some good vets in the area that are good with guineas.

I cant remember which one is the exotic specialist as it says they offer it all in 3 branches, but when i worked there it was just the one in cardiff and we would send the animals down to him. Its either Gordon or mark but the other mark you mentioned also rings a bell.

Now we have a little collection of good vets. :)

thats why I'm confused lol mark and gordon are a couple, gordon works in valley vets, mark is the one you want to see! lol sorry i got them the wrong way around!
