Ok sorry if i boring u all about romeo now!

Would u go with re homing two or one boy ?
I could just put one of his boys in with him and at 4 weeks when mrs mops boars will be ready to leave mama have the other 3 together..... oh what to do!!
I'm rubbish ar mnaking choices... what would u experienced guys do?

Hi Clare,

So you are thinking of putting 3 boars together? It can be done but remember that boars work better in pairs. In my experience I had my 3 all living together until I pulled Cuzzy out for having mites in the summer, he hasn't been back with S and T since as Cuzzy fought with Sunshine. You may end up pulling one out for fighting and having him live on his own, then end up getting another for him and end up with more pigs. :Dy Not a bad thing I guess but it depends on space.

Saying that a few people here have three or more boars living together and as long as they have enough space to give one another room I can't see it being a huge problem. There are pros and cons for it. Can't you tell I'm undecided! :D

Good luck with them!

I would try and have a group of three boars - quite a few people have done this successfully and I think people are too negative about bonding boars a lot of the time.

It's worth a try atleast?

and do i have to keep all boars away from my sows like in a different room and do they have to have floor time in a separate place (as the girls may leave thier parfum about and tease the boys)

Hi Clare,

It all depends, my boys and girls all lived happily in the shed and didn't bother one another. Floor time well Twinks goes mad as he can smell the girls but he shows no signs of agression just curiosity. I think just try the same place and see what happens.

Hopefully with the boys growing up together they will live in harmony! :)

Hi i had three boar together for a while but then one day two of them started fighting and that was that. had to take on away have him done and put in with the girls. The remaining two have been fine since.

Beware they can fall out very suddenly!

I put Charlie in with romeo, Ive left his brother bobby with rosie for a bit longer as he very small (runt id say) and he may get a bit more mothering as rosie always looks peed off these days with her kids not leaving her alone.
Charlie is chirping a bit but romeo is really happy and being nice in between rumbling boughts that charlie ignores

I always used to let the boars have floor time first and then they couldn't smell the sows - this worked really well. Like the others have said provided they have enough space there really is no limit to the amount of boars housed together provided they get along. I used to have lots of bolt holes for them to run into in case a battle did break out but on the whole they soon learnt who Boss Pig was and lived fairly amicably. I've never had any bad vibes with boars housed in close proximity to sows either. Good luck O0

ok yet another Q.
i tried ALL the boars together again today for floor time, romeo was of course strutting his stuff in between furious bum licking the babies (is that him being nice?)
I'm going to TRY and have them together and just keep close eye
