Hey all

As most of you know I lost my Reggie just under 3 weeks ago to pnemonia.
Hubby and I have just been to Portugal so my Auntie looked after Ronnie for me while we were away.

She lost a couple of her piggies too and now only has one left which she has offered to me so that Ronnie has a friend.

Here are some pics of them together, obviously we couldn't keep them together long as one will have to be neutered but look how gorgeous they are together.

My Aunties piggy doesn't have a name but I've called her Roxy!
Suits her with all that funky hair.

They got on so well and I would of loved to take Roxy now but just couldn't as I wasn't organised to have another cage etc for the time being.

Here's Ronnie in the car on the way home, I've never seen a pet so happy to see me, he looked excited which made my heart melt awww.

Do any of you know the breed of Roxy? She's very similar to Ronnie fur wise but has some longer bits of hair on her head and around her back

Love Stacey x

Aww she's gorgeous! Be careful though as it only takes a second to get pregnant!

She's gorgeous, looks like an abby but with very long hair so maybe a bit of something else too. If they like each other the easier option is to get Reggie neutered rather than Roxy but make sure your vet is experienced. Good luck! x

Thanks everyone, I loved doing the piggy dating, they really appeared to like each other.
Going to speak to the vet about getting Ronnie the chop lol.

And yes it was so adorable seeing Ronnie's face when I walked through the door and he heard my voice x)

Awwww Ronnie you may loose your manhood but you'll gain a wife - exactly like marriage to be honest... :))

It really does only take a split second for a boar to get a sow pregnant, so I'd strongly advise against putting then together again incase you're distracted even briefly eg phone ringing or whatever. Other forum members have done this in the past and the sow has ended up pregnant.

Also, dont forget that he can't go with any ladies until 6 full weeks after neutering as they are, as we call it, "semi skimmed" until then! :))

Awwww! I really hope this works out for you :) they look so pretty together!

Roxy looks just like my Aby Peppa! Such a pretty face :)

Thanks Amanda, they were only together for the pics then we put them away.

Any idea how much it costs to get a boar neutered?x

It really does depend on the vets. Some vets charge around £30 - £40, exotic vets usually a bit more. Rocket's neutering was £60.

Defo an abby cross of some sort because of the long hair and lack of "victorian pork chop " whiskers on the face - very very pretty piggydrool

We are haveing george done this week its costing 40pounds at are vets, after 6 week he going in with the 5 girls in the big run.He be very happy piggy.

They're both abyruvians - which is just a broad term that covers any pig with long/semi-long hair/skirts and rosettes. She's also a brindle in colour :) and very very gorgeous! I have a beige/cream/white abyruvian (although she's more peruvian as she's fully longhaired), but she looks like the australian Sheba's :)) they're soooo gorgeous drool

Good luck with the neutering if you decide to do it, they'll be very happy together! :))

Awww... they make a bootiful piggy couple x)
My boys and girls all live very happily together x
