Took Rosie to the vets after ringing around. We managed to get her in Bracken vets.
JennyTowers wasn’t on .
So we saw Christina, both her & Jenny are both Guinea pig owners so that always gives me confidence.
Rosie has got conjunctivitis we were given 1 x Isathal 3G I could’t fault the practice. £62 O’dear
I do wonder sometimes why it is so expensive. I can’t afford to have a pet plan, which isn’t worth the money it is printed on. But the kids see l’m alright & everything they give me i pay back. I suppose the vets have over heads, money for medicines & they must be very highly knowledgeable. I think it’s horrible people that are despite to own a pet & are told no money no pet. People learn so much from pets.
Only place that I know is free is the PDSA if your in the catchment area.
Why can’t the vets let you pay in advance bit like a Christmas club. Or if presented with a bill, let it be paid by instalments.
Well that’s my whinge, but I certainly would go again. Think she loved Rosie as much as us.Must ask her what guinea pigs they both have.
Obviously you have a line not to be crossed, my line is no Husky or Great Dane.
I can dream.
Got to go back to hugging Rosie again!

I always refer to this article whenever I ma tempted to question why vets sometimes appear to charge os much.
You need to register with an e-mail address to read it, but it well worth a read and really helps put things into perspective.
I think the concept of the high costs are harder to understand for those of us who have been blessed to grow up in a country with free heath care for all!

I agree - the NHS for people makes vet bills look so scary until members post from the US or Australia! Well done all you people worldwide who fight to find a decent vet for your piggies and get them treated as best you can 💕
