Hey guys!
I'm sure some of you are aware that I've been searching for a friend for Ruby.
Well, finally got a call today about two baby piggies at the shelter. Both boys. I thought I'd take a look anyways, and turns out the exotic vet confirmed them both girls! By the time I got there, only this little girl was left. Please meet Ruby's new friend! I'm thinking about calling her Peridot, but I'm not sure, so any names you might have, I am open to suggestions!
She's an itty bitty little thing, but not as small as Ruby when I got her. I forgot how much paper work is required before I could bring her home. I am ECSTATIC! And so is Ruby! I introduced them in Ruby's play pen first. I put in the baby, and then allowed Ruby to check her out behind the bars before I put her in. They shared an orange slice and some parsley, and it was love after that. I cleaned out Ruby's cage and arranged it a bit, and then stuck them both in. They're on close watch in case anything happens, but as of right now, they're curled up together.
On to pictures!
The eye that is on the white is actually blue. And the eye behind the black is very very very dark brown. I had no clue guinea pigs could have blue eyes...
And here they are together in Ruby's play pen!
Thanks for looking!
