Junior Guinea Pig
Hi guys,
So, we finally have our new arrivals. Fluff and Stripe.
They are settling in well and happily going up and down the ramp and not running away when we walk in.
They aren’t drinking much water so I’ve refilled it to an exact amount today so I can monitor this.
The one mistake I’ve made is a sharing bowl so I will rectify this after xmas.
When my daughter went to stroke Fluff this morning she made a low rumbling sound. I’m assuming this is a warning sign or dominance?
It was a gentle kind of squeaking at first but then changed to a rumble. This was whilst she was in her snuggle bed. They both love them and spend a lot of time in them. They are soaked in wee already though so will need plenty of spares.
Fluff is the more skittish, shy piggie. Stripe is chilled and happy to be stroked etc.
We are just leaving them alone at the minute and doing all the hinges it says to do. The only reason we picked them up in the sacs was to clean out the poo and replace hay and fleeces etc.
What’s the best way to proceed with Fluff? Just leave her be for now?
