runner beans

Hi, Have just joined and wanted to ask if anyone knows whether guineas can eat runner bean leaves. I have a book which says they can eat the bean but not the plant but on a website I found it said they could eat both the bean and leaves. Thanks

Hi....I'm not sure to be honest! Check the shopping list at the head of the forum...

If you're not sure, or can't find anywhere that says its ok, best to avoid! Not worth the risk as there are so many greens we know they can have safely...

Piggies love the beans themselves but you can't give them the plant and take the little white bean out too. The like the fine green beans too.

I think Mary said a while ago that you shouldn't give them to piggies but I and many others have and do and my Pookie is 5!

If you are unsure about the leaves, dont chance it
