I'll have to take a photo of both with their names underneath.... I'm guessing they are about as mad as each other two. Sausage sitting outside in thunderstorm yesterday afternoon eating grass....mallethead

I am thrilled everything went so well for Giles and Rupert. Both are gorgeous boys. Great to see Rupert looking so well, he looks much more comfortable!

Sorry, I missed this thread yesterday - I just can't believe that is the same Rupert just after that op on his eye - you must be so chuffed with your vet. And what an incredibly handsome boar he is too, a beautiful colour with such a smiley lovely face.

Giles is a stunner too. Thanks for the update and pictures - I'm just so pleased for Rupert in particular now that eye thing isn't bothering him.

Both boys were given their post op check by the vet today Giles has a little bruising around his bits but is fine and on painkillers/antiinflamitories, Rupert had the stitch out from his eye as it had rotated and the knot was starting to cause an ulcer but is doing really well.

Another bit of great news is that Rupert has been offered a new home when he is ready and recovered today just need to find him a suitable wife in six weeks time.

Glad the ops went well and the transformation on Ruperts eye is truly amazing. Fantastic news about his new home too, he is one lucky little chappiex)

GREAT news - I'm sure you can find a very pretty girl for him...

Hopefully, Giles can find one for himself as well! He would have liked my Dizzy - bless her soul!

Wow how wonderful to see Rupert all better - that eye looked so sore.

There is something in Giles' face with the litle bit of red hair which reminds me of Dizzy (sorry, still miss her so much)... Pity that he isn't a girl!

Giles will be moving in with six girlies once he's safe :)

Passed on all your good wishes to the boys Rupert is laid back as ever and Giles is just hilarious typical aby, if you wanted to come and visit in the mean time rosie before he is ready to go you are more than welcome. :)

I fear I will get a reputation amoung the piggies for being the 'castration lady and operation place' lol but Rupert and Giles arrived yesterday and are settling in well. Rupert is acting as if nothing happened a wonderfully sweet guinea pig who is muchin grass Giles is a bit more skitty but settling nicely and both ate breakfast well.

They are booked in tomorrow morning at 9am to go for their operations
Giles is being neutered and Rupert is having his eye fixed and being neutered.
Poor boy will be attacked at both ends but as the neutering is very straigt forward and all the guineas done so far have recovered very rapidly it was thought best to do both at the same time.

I will keep you updated on their progress and pass on any well wishes to them :)

You may have spared Rupert at one end. But really it is best to get it all over and done with all at one time. Hope both are well.
