Rye grass seed heads ok?

Hi, I was wondering if Ryegrass seed heads are Ok for guinea pigs. I hear that other animals like sheep can get staggers from it. I have been giving the Guinea pigs a seed head or two each day thinking that it would be a bit of variety. I am not so sure now.
Any one have any ideas if the Rye grass seed heads are OK

You get seed heads in Timothy hay (and others), and they can eat ryegrass so I think it’s fine. As usual, grass should be introduced slowly to avoid bloating and upset stomach.
