Sad News - we lost Angel

I picked Angel up yesterday at 2 days old after being rejected by her mum and was left to die. we took her to the vet who said she had a good chance at life and gave her injections and milk. She was up walking properly and was drinking her milk with ease, she seemed to be doing well. However, she took her last feed at 11.30pm last night and my mum checked her again at 12.10am, she sensed something was wrong and check again at 12.20am. She picked her up and cuddled her while Angel looked up at her and at 12.29am she closed her eyes and stopped breathing. Cant stop crying while am writing this. It was looking like she was going to make it. She was fighting so hard. She was out in a very very cold drafty shed since she was born and she was freezing when i first picked her up. Hoonestly think she just spent to long in the cold. I am very sad about this but at least I know we gave her the best chance we could. She was going to get left to die in the shed with a mum who didn't want to go near her so we tried. I know in myself we did all we could and the angels are now looking after my Angel. She was beautiful.

So sorry to hear that. Poor little mite just needed her mum. Horrible to think some reject their babes you wonder how could they.

Angel is fortunate to meet you and your family.. to have your love and concern is the greatest thing of all!
As quoted from the rainbow bridge poem: "To have loved and then said farewell is better than to have never loved at all."

I'm sure Angel is happie to be loved by you and your family =)

Cheer up.. Angel is at rainbow bridge eating yummie unlimited hays strawberries! lotsa of frens and popcorning around =)

RIP Angel 0:) 0:) 0:) run free at the bridge, you weren't here for long but you were dearly loved by your new forever mummy she tried but it was just not enough, don't worry little sweetie there will be lots of loving mummy piggies there to look after you and protect you :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

I know in my heart I tried, just gald she passed away getting cuddled and in a warm house rather than in a cold shed where she could have been left for hours and hours. xx

I have the feeling there's many people who are wanting to tell me I should have left her where she was. But I knew she was going to die if i left her there. I gave her a chance but got her to late and she didn't make it.
 
You couldn't have left her where she was, you gave her a chance and at least she was warm and fed, very sad that she didn't pull through but at least you gave it your best shot and she had a chance.

am so sorry you lost angel. you did your best, and you did the right thing! so please don't beat yourself up over it.
