Junior Guinea Pig
I keep seeing forage with flowers in the ingredients, chamomile, lavender and rose petals. Are these safe for the girls to eat? I was thinking about buying these and adding a little to their hay for a treat they can sniff out. Also, does it need to be packaged specifically for animals? It would be cheaper to buy them in bags intended for loose leaf herbal teas (no actual tea leaves or extra ingredients), but I don't know if there is a difference in types of lavender or chamomile intended for human consumption verses what guinea pigs can have. Also, the rose teas seem to be buds and petals, are these both safe? Does anyone give these to their pigs for a treat?
