I’ve been looking at growing more salad leaves, and have come across some seed which contain ice queen - does anyone know if this is the same as iceberg?
My piggies are really liking eating my homegrown salad leaves - green leaf etc, and I’ve got some winter mix coming on which has red leaf, mizuna and lambs lettuce in, but have never heard of ice queen before! A quick google says it is “iceberg type” - do you think that means it’s unsafe?
Thanks

By the sounds of it it's just another name for iceberg but I've never heard of it either. I'd avoid it to be safe and stick to veg with more nutritional value 😊

Thanks, it confused me because I had never heard of it, but also because it grows as a loose leaf, not as a round lettuce head - confusing!
I’ll pick the other leaves around it I think, or maybe not give them any from that batch of seeds perhaps, just to be sure...
I’ve googled all the other types and they seem mostly a range of green leaf and butterhead leaves 👍🏻
