Salt licks?

I guess this kind of falls under food...

I've never had a salt lick for my piggies. Do they need them? and why?

I remember someone on here said they're bad for them.

They aren't bad, but they really are not necessary. Most pigs completely ignore them too, so it's a waste of money AND space. All the minerals guinea pigs need are in their natural diet - hay, dry food, and veggies.
