These are my new babies, Sam and Dean. <3 Brownie points go to anyone who knows where their names come from. ;) I just got them today.

Sam is the albino and Dean is the black one with the white streak on his nose. I was informed by the pet store that they're still too young to tell the genders but that the breeders they get their piggies from normally keep the females and send them males so it's more than likely they're both boys. I'm hoping they are and that one of them doesn't mind giving dominance to the other one so they don't start fighting later on. I'm hoping the chances are good that they won't since they're from the same litter and have been together since birth.

P.s. guineas can be sexed from early ages! Best to check at 2 weeks once things are bigger but a shop which tells you that isn't very reliable! Females can get pregnant very young. Have you looked at photos on the forum n google to see if you can tell they are defiantly both boys?

Yes that was a worry of mine when I bought them, and I plan to take a look at their bottoms tomorrow once they're settled to see what sexes they are. If one is female, I'll separate them until I can get my boy neutered. I really would have preferred to get them from a rescue shelter, but my local shelter didn't have any available for adoption.

Have you had a look! I woke up thinking about them! I've crossed my fingers for two boys or two girls!

If you can take a photo of their ahem.... bits :x then someone may be able to help tell you what they are.
 
I had a look this morning and I'm pretty sure I ended up with a boy and a girl. :{

Picking them up to see stressed them out a lot, the poor dears, so I'm letting them hide away for a bit, but if I can, I'll get pictures to put here so some more experienced people can see. I'm of course willing to pay the vet bill to get Dean neutered if necessary, but it's always nice to know a trip to the vet isn't needed.
 
Hi you need to separate them immediately to stop your female getting pregnant. Do you know how old they are. It's terrible the pet shop sold you a male and female. Young pregnancies can be dangerous for both mum and babies! Keep them separate and take photos and up load ASAP!
 
The pet store said they were about three months old.

I have a picture of Sam, but Dean won't let me grab him at the moment. I'm pretty certain he's a boy, though. It's Sam that I'm unsure of.

Hey it happens! I bought my two from the a pet shop, thankfull they had sexed them correctly! You have done the best for them by coming on here! We will help you through whatever the future holds! Good thing you picked her as Sam as a female Dean doesn't have the same ring!
 
I took a second look at Sam and I'm not sure anymore. >.<

She looks like the photo you provided of a three week old male. Maybe the pet store lied about how old they were, too?
 
Ohh good! If you press just above their sexual organs, if he is a male then the penis will pop out! Like in photo 10, have a try at this then you will know once and for all!
 
Plus do you know how much they weigh, this can give a good indication for age. A rough estimate but can know if they are three weeks or three months!
 
Perhaps if you start a new thread with a picture of both pigs (if you can catch Dean!) then some of the more experienced members will be able to sex them for you straight away. It might get missed in this thread :)
