My lovely old Sam went over the bridge yesterday evening, aged 5 years, 11 months. :'(
Although I am very sad to lose him, I am very grateful for the way it happened: my daughter's bf was in the kitchen when he heard Roo making distressed noises. He turned round and saw Sam staggering about, falling over to one side as his back legs would not support him. He quickly picked Sam up and brought him to me. I could see straight away that he was heading for the bridge, and i had him on my lap and stroked him and talked to him as he went. I am so pleased that I had the chance to say goodbye to him properly.
After David had given me Sam , he called the rest of the family downstairs and we all sat together to watch Sam go.
He has gone to be with his brother Snug and their cat-friend Amy.
Goodbye, my lovely Sam, you were such a loving pig :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
