My wee skinny pig Caspian has developed an addition to satsumas, he loves them and can't get enough. The minute I crack open a satsuma he appears foraging around sniffing his head off.drooldrool

I am happy to share my satsumas with him, he loves his grub. He looks so comical with satsuma all over his face looking at me expectantly for me waiting patiently for more. My question is how much is safe to give him with them being so acidic. I don't want him to end up poorly or with a sore mouth

I would not give more than a slice than 2-3 times a week; if necessary cut the slice into smaller chunks in order to stretch it out. Some piggies can be quite addicted to certain foods!

Thats so cute!

Mine will not touch satsumas, clementines or anything orangey! They adore melon skin and apple :)

Thank you for your helpful replies, my other three piggies won't entertain satsumas but he just can't get enough of them, its the same with grapes. If he doesn't get want he wants he bangs his dish until he gets his own way.x)x) Looks like I am confined to eating them in the kitchen.
