Going away tomorrow morning at 5am to Camp Bestival and my sister is coming here to look after my house and animals. Now she's looked after the cats and dog before but no one in my family has ever had guineas. I have cleaned them out this evening and have said to leave them unti Monday when i'm home to clean them out again.

I have chopped the stuff that wont go off (greens and herbs) and left instructions on what else to do with hay and fresh food, change water bottles on day 2. I have filled up pellets to the brim so they don't need doing.

Anything I have left out?

Why am i so nervous?

don't think so!
i think your worrying to much(i can understand why! i used to!).
cya, :)p!

You're nervous because they are your babies and just like kids...they will miss you til you come back....Its Normal to be worried about leaving them. I'm sure they will be just fine. Just tell her to talk to them, they will miss that since I'm sure you talk to them! Just think how great it will feel when you return...they will wheek with happiness that Mommy is back! go enjoy yourself now

I put my grass and veg in labelled icecream boxes in the fridge for my neighbour to give them. Pellets and hay to add. It's always worked so far!

Wish you a good holiday - your piggies will survive and be as glad to have you back as you will!

Done that (the icecream box thing) it's all labeled and sorted.

Didn't think of grass - going to do that now!

Thanks all I feel silly but it's freaking me right out!

I'm exactly the same when I leave my piggies to go on holiday. When I went away in May my dad watched the piggies. It took me so long to pack up all their stuff and I had written out a long list of instructions. I wonder what I would be like if I had children (human ones not piggies). Anyway, you enjoy your break and the piggies will be fine.

I am also going away tomorrow (for 9 days) so i know exactly how you're feeling.

Have cleaned all the cages, given everyone a cuddle, and i'm now in the middle of a list for my Mum about who likes what and favourite veggies for each individual pig! x)

Oh....I'm also leaving three kids behind....but they'll be fine! :)):)):)) x

Aww bless your heart.
I bet your babies are glad your home, lots of treats from mum for being away lol.
Me and my mum never go away because we would miss our babies.
Mum's neighbour has offered to look after the cats as they have cats and are brilliant neighbous but we just couldn't do it.
We look after the neighbours house and cats when they go away lol.

It's weird isn't it? We are away in September again and this time it's mum looking after everyone. That's 6 days so they will absolutely need a clean while we are away so she's going to have to come and see the routine before we go.

I have been out to asda for all the girls fav fresh food and given them a nice big bowl each this morning. Ahhh it's good to be home.

Aww bless you.
Very spoilt piggies this morning.
They will love it when you get back from your holiday in september knowing they will get extra treats lol
