:lol!: - :agr: - I trust my vet more than my GP too !

Seriously - I'd go to your doctor as they may be able to refer you to physio .

Stop right there and go and buy something called ACTI-PATCH from Boots .... It is amazing.. you can wear it 24/7 and it really helped my sciatica pain - only thing that ever has... you can get a trial one online for about a fiver, runs for 7 days...

That's sounds good, has to be the leg I've got arthritis in.
& if that doesn't work, I shall go to my miserable DR

I hope you feel better soon.
Bad backs are horrible, I suffer with mine from time to time so I know how debilitating it can be. We had to put the piggie cage up off the floor so I wasn't stooping to clean it out which has helped a lot.

I don't know if there is much a go can do. There are exercises you can do to stretch the muscles around the lower back, hips and bum. My hips are really tight so i'm prone to problems and have had sciatica before. I always intend to stretch everyday but realistically it's when I feel tight lol. I'll see if I can find the stretches I did to help alleviate it though if you have arthritis you might want to check with the gp before doing any

The only thing that works for me is letting my back work the nerves and muscles etc back into place by itself. I've been known to be standing just minding my own business and the next thing, you hear a "thunk" as my back adjusts itself. Lying flat on my back and bending and straightening the knees helps tremendously.

Course, that's only useful if you can actually get on and off the floor.

Kelly, I'll try those exercises but I'm thinking my body isn't designed to do these moves. Lol

It's that getting up & down off the floor worries me

Don't worry overly about it, obviously they use a super flexy person to model the moves so we can see where we all fail  I can't stretch as much as that either :))

I wore a belt with magnets in that i got off amazon. It made heat somehow which was very soothing. I wish you well. Back pain is miserable.

i would go to your gp,as it could be helped by pain relief, muscle relaxants, nerve pain drugs,eg gabapentin, there is a machine that physio uses called a TENS machine and some persons find this helpful. It is one of the worst pains to experience.I hope you find a solution.

I do not blame you, taking tablets can be difficult, and finding a more natural way or less invasive way can be better.:)
