Has anyone used this? It says for rabbits - is it suitable for piggies?

Shamelessly bumpin' it on up!

We have a free sample box of this at work, so I'd like to know if piggies can eat it before it all gets claimed! I might get some and use it if/when I decide it's safe :)

I dont know if it is ok for piggies, probably not. Its supposed to be top secret..... but.... i went to nursing congress the other weekend and i went to see the supreme petfoods stand, chatted about there new recovery food etc. I asked if they are doing something like this for piggies, and he said keep your eyes peeled next year.

The food comes in funny long pellet strands, its cool. and there is digestive health, urinary health and weigh control types like this. Lets hope they do the same for piggies.

Yeah it looks like massive long pellets!

So is there something in the ingredients that's not safe?

I cant see anything thats not safe, i just am not sure. As piggies need different (although similar) nutrition to rabbits i prefer not to feed any bunny stuff to pigs. I think if I'm right in saying (tho someone please correct me if I'm wrong) piggies need more protein than that of rabbits etc. Tho I'm not a nutritionist lol. I'd rather wait for them to bring out stuff for piggies alone rather than use this to be honest. But i guess its all opinion really. :)

I offered her a "stick" of it and she wasn't interested in the slightest, so I guess that solves that problem! rolleyes
