Hi everyone,
My guinea pig Pebbles is scratching loads, she's not drawing blood or anything but is obviously itchy... Is there anything I can do about that? Is it fleas?

Hello, you need to see your vet, Pebbles has to have drops or an injection for the problem.

Please refer to other threads, they will really help you.

Good luck wishing Pebbles a healthy recovery :) :)

Sounds like probably mites (very common in gps!) or possibly lice, for which the usual treatment is Ivomectin.
Your vet will be able to confirm whether this is the case and if so will probably give your piggie an Ivomectin injection. Severe cases can sometimes need a second jab. Mites are very easily passed from one piggie to another so if you have two or more in the same cage they will probably all need treatment to avoid re-infecting each other.
