Scrummy vs the Banana

Sadly no pictures, but a funny story all the same.

I had a banana last night and decided i didn't want it all, so went and sat by the cage and offered the pig's some, Minnie only wanted the skin, Toffee and Lilly snatched their bits and ran and hid with them, but Scrummy...... god knows what it was about the banana, but she was scared of it, she would come up to it to sniff, then quickly back off, then she remembered it was food and she was going to miss out, so she came back up to it, then the same thing, backed off, you would think it was squirting water at her or something, when she finally plucked up the courage to eat it, she crept up to it slowly and really stretched out (you know like a new piggy just starting to gain trust of "the hand") she was trying to take it just with her teeth, it was like she didn't want it to touch her lips..? her little nose was all scrunched and her eyes squinted (like i was giving her lemon) It was so funny to watch she really made me laugh out loud, so i just put it in the cage and watched her, she was eating it really funnily. Then I got her favorite out - a carrot and she couldn't get enough, munch munch munch, chomp chomp chomp!

You had to be there really, but it was so funny, its not like she hasn't had banana before. xx

Haha Shereen did that today with apple! She does like it but today acted scared. Funny girls!

it could have been the smell of it haha its so cute when they do that one of my piggies hate the smell of oranges, he'll run as far away as he can when he smells orange

My Caramel does that with strwberries, it is really funny to watch

My piggies are scared of bananas too. If I put one in there, they won't move until I take it out!

lol one of my boys does this with bananas, cherries, strawberries, grapes etc - he opens his mouth really wide, it's like he doesn't want to let it touch his lips - really funny to watch It's one of those times - you have to see it to get the joke.

One of my sows shakes her head and licks her lips frantically (like she wants to try it but doesn't actually do so) then backs off when she doesn't like something - she then gives you the look of utter disgust....

Funny little things aren't they?.....

Bertie isnt sure about bananas! He tried some of the fruit but it sort of stuck to his teeth and made him pull a face. He has had a nibble of the banana end but didnt look as if he liked it, but was just being polite!
