Hey everyone.
So I’ve had a really stressful and overwhelming week with just everything. I’m always exhausted by the end of the days, and it not been the best week.
I’ve felt really bad, as I feel like I’ve been neglecting the pigs for the past couple of days. I just feed them, and then go out the room and not really spend time with them. I feel awful. And for the past few days I’ve been second guessing whether I guess I’m a good pig mom. I know so many other pigs have it worse, but I just feel like I’ve not been giving them them the best life my pigs could have because I’ve been so swamped recently. I hopefully will be able to get back into routine this weekend and everything will be good again, and a lot of my attention can be on the pigs. It’s just been a bit difficult.

Since we all have pigs, I guess I’m wondering it anyone else has had moments like this, or if I’m the only one. It’s good to know your not alone, you know.

I hope I don’t sound like a bad pig mom. I just feel really bad.

I am sure we've all had bad days so you are not alone. But, I always find that bad days do not last for long and good days always come around. Just remember that you are the most important for your piggies so always take care of yourself first.

For me, I always make sure my piggies get the attention they need from me. This is because I have two piggies who live separately, Finn and Lara, so they need my attention as much as possible. Lara was abandoned by a friend and about to be homeless, so I took her in.

I always feel that my home feels like home because I have my piggies and without them, it won’t be a home and that my house will feel empty. I am always thankful that I have my piggies making my home a very happy home.

I agree.
Idk what I would do without my pigs. They relieve a lot of my stress and get me through the day, like I always look forward to see them.

i have had a couple of days like this once, where I was just so exhausted. Luckily I was able to get back on track the next day. As long as it’s JUST 2 or 3 days and you are giving them hay, food and water I don’t think your piggies will mind as long as it’s just a few days.

You're a good piggy mom 24/7 because you don't keep a piggy on its own, so they're never lonely. You always feed them so they're never hungry. You don't let them get cold. You think about their needs. We all get busy sometimes, it's life. A few days ago I had to report a man who was beating his dog 😣 which actually helped put any piggy mom guilt into perspective!
Just make sure they're well and eating.
Hope your schedule is a bit easier soon.

We all have 'off' days or chaotic weeks (work, family, illness etc) when we're not as perfect as we mean to be! But I'm sure our pigs are warm, properly fed, clean, checked for signs of illness and comfortable even on our 'worst' days which is so much more that a lot of pets ever experience. T

hat puts our odd 'off' day into perspective. Or at least it does for me.

After yesterday morning I felt like a terrible piggie owner. The alarm hadn't gone off so I'd overslept and was running rather late for work. I managed to complete a full hutch and run clean out in the shed - new beds the lot! I gave the herd new boxes to play in/with, re-filled the hay nets and left a large pile of 'rummaging' hay in their shed run for them. Clean water bottles etc....... However I forgot to give them their breakfast vegies. When I eventually reached home last night to do their tea and shutting up/bed time routine boy was I told off by two of the gang!

I felt a bit guilty - but then they'd had plenty of hay all day and a nice large tea to tuck into.

They'd forgiven me by this morning. Or maybe that was the additional parsley I bought them with their breakfast today.

I put them in the center of my house so I they can see me and I can see them all the time. I want to see them more than I want to watch TV, XD.
Even when I am not home and at work, I always miss them and want to see them.
I might feed them veggies a bit more than I should like a cup and a half daily, and this is because I can’t be away from them for long, XD.
