Ok so I thought I would start a new thread for the rescues as the other one will hopefully get quite long and I don't want the rescues to miss it. (Can you please try and keep your chat on the other thread)

Can all rescues that want to take part in the secret santa get intouch with me now, you have until the 1st of November.

Can you please let me know your name, rescue name and address. You must be able to get intouch and let us know when presents have arrived, we had a massive problem with this last year as some rescues never let us know when gifts arrived. Also we know you are busy, but a few photos really are appreciated.

You must be a guinea pig rescue or sanctuary to be eligible to enter, if you want to nomminate a rescue or your own foster pigs you must have the rescues permission before doing so.

I don't need the name of the pigs yet as I know hopefully alot of the ones you have in at the moment will be rehomed before christmas. Piggies that can be nominated are those still looking for homes, or those that are perminant residents NOT pigs that you have chosen to keep as your pets.

Guinea Pig Rescue’s wish list

Below is a list of things that the rescues would love to be included in their secret santa presents. However I know all the rescue will appreciate anything and everything they are given. Just because a rescue would rather not have something doesn’t mean it won’t be used or appreciated

The Potteries Guinea Pig Rescue
The piggies would love some Tunnels, cozies/pouches to sngle in and some toys as theirs have seen better days now. Freddie and Fergus love snuggling in cozies and pouches and popcorn loads.
Bin bags,water bottles, food bowels timothy hay are other things the rescue would be so greatful for and more gloves and newspaper.

sorry for the long list lol we would be so very greatful if only one thing is brought for the piggies as we understand there is so many needey piggies out there wanting santa to bring them some thing special.

Oh, what do we need for the piggies? We always appreciate fleece blankets, towels, snuggle sacs and the piggies love the cardboard tubes. Its also always nice for the piggies to receive yummy treats, we tend to go for natural ones.

As a rescue, water bottles, cotton wool pads, syringes (1ml) and spot on are in the highest demand. I appreciate any gifts for the piggies whatever they are.

The Excellent Adventure Sanctuary (for guinea pigs with extra needs)

We have alot fewer rescues taking part his year so if any others want to join there is still plenty of time.
 
Please could you also include Rabbit and Guinea Pig Welfare in Rugby. Tracy is so very busy at the moment that she isn't getting on the forum very often, but I would really love her piggies to be part of this too. I will phone her over the weekend and ask her to put a wish list on here.

I have a late addition to the Glynneath GPR's list - teddies! I need your teddies! Boar dating aids are in short supply, a teddy (or any other variety of soft toy) with a body 6-8" long, firm enough to take a pig 'cuddling' it and when laid face down presents an attractive backend!

As demonstrated by teddie, a very successful model.

I have just popped on to also say could Tracey from Rugby Rabbit and Guinea Pig Rescue be included, spoke to her Saturday (unfortunately I didnt see this otherwise I could of asked her what she wanted) and we had a long conversation about being full, what was going on with peoples situations so rescues do talk to each other! and exactly what Debbie said, she has been so busy she hasnt found time to look at all emails and links.
 
I have sent cardiff gpr's list to you already but wanted to add a few things to it if that's okay

hay cookies
avipro
dandelion & green oat hay treat (wilkinsons)
any green oat hay or "posh" hay for treats
bottle brush
metatone
gorgeous guineas aloe vera sooth gel
any kind of bagged herby / hay treats (nothing yoghurt or sugar based please)

I think that's all - vic I sent you a list and most of this was on it I think.

I have put a thread introducing all our secret santa pigs in photos and stories today. Hope it helps their santa know a bit more about them
 
Could I nominate North East Guinea Pig Rescue if it's not too late? I know Laylas not been on here much lately but she has loads of piggies in at the moment so I'm sure she'd appreciate any help she can get. If she needs to come on herself I'll see if I can drop her a message on facebook tonight.
 
I was also hoping I could nominate Windwhistle Warren Rabbit & Guinea Pig Rescue (Glocs). I'm a volunteer there. I haven't been on the forum for a while but the pigs at WWW would definitely love to have some xmas treats if we're not too late. :)
 
Bumping this up as I know some people are just getting their Secret Santa piggy names. There are present ideas from the rescues if you read through. :)
